Are you coming to Bilbao on a professional or research exchange this july/august? If so, you knocked on the right door!

We usually receive between 10 to 15 incomings each summer, and we always try to make you feel like home. We prepare lots of activities and a neat social program so you can visit other cities in the Basque country and really enjoy your exchange.

You will be lodged in flats near the city center with other exchage students from around the world, so we hope you come with an open mind!

AVIEM has organised a detailed Social Plan for the month, which will be sent to you prior to your arrival and that you can check at our website. It includes a wide variety of plans: 

• • Sightseeing and cultural activities

  • Activities in nature

  • Partying (you got lucky, the Patronal festivities of Bilbao are celebrated in August!)

  • International dinners/parties

You’ll be doing your exchange program in Basurto’s Hospital. You can walk there from your accomodation, although we recommend you to get a public transport monthly ticket. 

Don't worry! The practical information necessary for your stay (public transport, places to visit, useful phone numbers, restaurant guide) will be also sent to you.
